The Surefooted Angels is incorporated for public and charitable purposes. In the context of these general purposes, activities will be conducted to raise funds for a variety of charitable and/or educational charities and causes. Future plans include, but are not limited to holding sports events, music concerts, educational programs, comedy programs, and other events and activities
On May 31, 2008, Surefooted Angels is presenting its first fundraising event: The Bobs benefit concert and silent auction to benefit the Breast Cancer 3-Day, a walk benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund. At this time, Surefooted Angels plans to make this an annual event.
Surefooted Angels has filed its application for exempt status with the IRS and the Franchise Tax Board. Exemption status is in process. At the present time, donations to Surefooted Angels are not tax deductible. When exemption status is granted, donations that exceed the fair market value of goods received will be tax deductible retroactive to the date of Surefooted Angels incorporation. Surefooted Angels is grateful for the generous support of its sponsors. However, the inclusion of any sponsor on the website does not mean that Surefooted Angels is endorsing or recommending any of the products or services of such companies.
